August 17, 2010:
I just discovered locker hooking by looking around the web. I'm going to give it a try for several reasons, it doesn't seem as expensive as rug hooking with wool, and I have a lot of cotton fabric from quilting stash. I believe I can use the rugs on my floor since the loops are anchored or locked down. Can't wait to give it a try. Renee' might like it too, we'll see. /Deb

Hi Deb, I just came in from the hot sun to get a glass of cold water and wipe the sweat from my brows. I've been mowing the lawn and only got the back yard done. To make my job easier, I raised the wheels as high as it goes . I took a look at the RHD site and checked my blog and was pleasant surprised to have a comment, I also checked your Facebook site and I'm floored at your creativity. You can do about just any thing in art. You are so talented.
I have a confession to make, last evening I intended to start binding my rug and my husband heard me complain about my sore neck and shoulder and he offered to massage my neck and I was too relaxed to work on my rug and went directly to bed and fell asleep within five minutes. I'll try again this evening but it's hot and muggy today.
My break is finished and I must return to work. Say Hi to Renee for me. Julia
I have locker hooked for years and made many, many rugs. I use wool as I have a flock of sheep, but locker hooking is fairly easy and offers you so many creative outlets. You are going to have fun with this~
